Welcome To My Hometown!

Campbellford, Ontario

One of my favourite things to do on a day off is to take quick drive to Campbellford. Where I am so proud to call my hometown and it warms my heart to see how far it’s come.

Campbellford is a quiet community, perfect for farmers, cottagers, and families looking for some green space.

Fun fact: Campbellford is the home of the Toonie (where the artist designed it), you can see it proudly standing in Old Mill Park, the heart of the town.

5 Reasons You'll LOVE it:

  1. As a small town, it radiates as a very friendly community, especially over the holidays and in times of need.
  2. The downtown is very accessible and a quick walk or drive to everything it offers.
  3. There are plenty of nearby trails for exploring that are pet friendly
  4. Campbellford thrives around agricultural fairs and community events
  5.  If you’re the outdoorsy type, you can hike, fish, skate in the winter, tour on the four-wheelers and ski-doos, you name it!

5 Things To be aware of:

  1. In every agricultural town you should be mindful and dust that rises, farming smells, and the safety of driving near farm vehicles!
  2. With increased tourism in the summers, traffic with the bridge increases so be sure to plan your drive accordingly!
  3. Some stores and shops are closed on Sunday or Monday to allow for staff to enjoy a day off, make sure to schedule your shopping appropriately!
  4. If you’re seeking larger box stores such as a Wal-Mart or Costco, you’ll be making the trip to Peterborough or Belleville.
  5.  There are talks of building a new hospital to Campbellford!
